How the arithmetic works

Concentration is the material quantity divided by the solvent volume. The volume containing your target is the target quantity divided by that concentration. Position on a graduated scale is that volume multiplied by the device’s units per millilitre, which is read from the selected device profile rather than assumed to be 100.

Exact value versus readable graduation

These are shown as two separate numbers whenever they differ. A calculated position of 8.33 units on a device whose smallest readable graduation is 1 unit is not the same thing as 8 units, and presenting only the rounded figure would hide a real limitation of the measurement device.

What this tool does not do

This is solution-preparation arithmetic. It does not tell you what quantity to prepare, it does not recommend that anyone administer anything, and it has no knowledge of who you are. The numbers you enter are numbers you supplied.
