Russian Nootropic Stack
Selank with Semax
Also called selank semax, semax selank stack, russian nootropic stack, nasal nootropic stack
Two intranasal peptides with real Russian trials behind them, and not one usable per-dose figure in the published record.
Combination evidence: Insufficient / conflicting
Where every number on this page comes from
Each quantity carries one of these five labels. They are not interchangeable, and the difference between the first and the last is the difference between a regulated finding and a rumour with a number attached.
- FDA labelling
- This figure appears in FDA-approved product labelling for an approved indication. It is the strongest warrant on this site.
- Published study arm
- This figure is the quantity administered in a named arm of the linked study. It describes what was studied, not what is advised.
- Clinical guideline
- This figure appears in published clinical or professional guidance.
- Manufacturer protocol
- This figure comes from a manufacturer or investigator document rather than from peer-reviewed literature.
- Community practice — no trial
- No clinical trial has tested this figure. It reflects what is commonly reported in practice and carries no evidentiary weight. It is shown because it is what circulates, and because showing it with this label is more useful than pretending it does not exist.
The figure most often reported for each compound. Where a compound has no separately sourced figure at this level, its most commonly reported figure is used instead, and the citation beneath it says so.

Continuous run
Both intranasal, both several times a day. Four weeks reflects the course lengths described in the Russian literature, which ran five to ten days at a time with breaks between courses rather than continuously.

Lowest sourced, per dose
100 mcgCommunity practice — no trial
Commonly reported lower figure per administration, derived from drop volume at 0.1% concentration. The published trials report per-day amounts only.
Most commonly reported, per dose
300 mcgCommunity practice — no trial
Modal reported figure per administration in practice. The published trials report per-day amounts only.
Highest sourced, per dose
600 mcgCommunity practice — no trial
Commonly reported upper figure per administration at 1% concentration. The published trials report per-day amounts only.
Prepared at 5 mg in 2 mL
Every quantity above is one administration. At 2 times daily, that is 4.20 mg per week.

Why it is here
ACTH(4-10) analogue studied in Russian stroke and cognitive literature.
What is not known
The 0.1% and 1% solutions differ tenfold in mass per drop, and product listings often omit which is which. A figure quoted without its concentration is not a figure. The stroke trial's 6,000 µg per day cannot be converted into a per-administration amount because the division is not published.

Why it is here
Tuftsin analogue studied against a benzodiazepine comparator in generalised anxiety and neurasthenia.
What is not known
The 2008 trial, PMID 18454096, is real, randomised, and reports an anxiolytic effect comparable to medazepam. Its abstract states no amount, no concentration, no route detail and no frequency. There is no study arm here to attribute a number to.
What you would need to buy
Vial counts are computed by simulating consumption, not by dividing total milligrams. Those two disagree whenever a vial cannot be finished, which is most of the time, and dividing under-buys.

What usually goes wrong
Ranked by how often it happens rather than by how serious it sounds.
Quoting a Russian trial as the source of a per-dose figure
This is the most common error in this category, and it is the reason both figures above carry a community badge rather than a trial badge. The trials exist. The doses are not in them.
Not knowing which concentration you bought
0.1% is 1 mg/mL. 1% is 10 mg/mL. The same number of drops delivers ten times the mass. Listings frequently omit the concentration entirely.
Running continuously because it is a nasal spray
The published Russian courses were five to ten days, sometimes repeated after a twenty-day break. Continuous multi-week use is a community convention with no counterpart in the literature.
Assuming regulatory acceptance follows from foreign approval
Selank acetate appears on the FDA's withdrawn-nomination list for 503A compounding. Registration in one jurisdiction is not a finding about safety in another.
What is worth measuring
Markers that would actually tell you something, and what each one tells you. Nothing here is a requirement, and none of it substitutes for a clinician who knows your history.
| Marker | When | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| A validated anxiety or mood scale | Baseline and weekly | The endpoint the Selank trial actually measured, and the only comparable signal available. |
| Sleep quality | Ongoing | Commonly reported to change on both compounds, in both directions. |
| Nasal mucosa | Ongoing | Repeated intranasal administration of any peptide solution is locally irritant in some people. |
Populations this was not studied in
An absence of evidence in a group is not evidence of safety in that group. These are listed because the gap itself is the finding.
- Anyone — no trial has tested these two together
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Anyone taking a benzodiazepine or an SSRI, which the originating trials used as comparators rather than co-medications
- Anyone under 18
