Why it is here
The no-DAC form has a short half-life and is timed to coincide with the first deep-sleep GH pulse. The DAC form is a different compound with a multi-day half-life and a completely different schedule; they are routinely confused.
What is not known
Early-phase pharmacokinetic work established that GH and IGF-1 rise. No trial has connected that rise to body composition, recovery, or any other outcome in this population.

Selective ghrelin-receptor agonist, reported in pharmacology work to raise GH without the cortisol and prolactin effects seen with less selective secretagogues.

Confusing CJC-1295 with and without DAC
With DAC, the half-life is measured in days and the schedule is one or two administrations per week. Without DAC, it is minutes to hours and the schedule is daily. Vendors label both as CJC-1295. Getting this wrong changes everything downstream.
Eating before the evening administration
Circulating insulin blunts GH release. The empty-stomach convention follows from that, and it is one of the few pieces of this protocol with real physiological grounding.
Reading raised IGF-1 as a result
IGF-1 rising confirms the compound is doing something pharmacologically. It does not confirm any benefit.
What is worth measuring
Markers that would actually tell you something, and what each one tells you. Nothing here is a requirement, and none of it substitutes for a clinician who knows your history.
